Born in Taipei in 1976, Yu-Sheng Yang holds a master degree in Musicology from Taipei National University of the Arts (on the advise of Chu-Wey Liu 劉岠渭), and Bachelor of Music from Fu-Jen Catholic University. In 2009, his violin performances received great ovations during state banquets in Honiara (Capital of Solomon Islands) and Majuro (Capital of Marshall Islands). He is principle violinist in Ensemble Bariolage, with the ensemble he recorded composer Ya-Ping Wang's ”M860 sonia,” and will perform in 2010 Taipei International Flora Expo.

Mr. Yang is also a composer and arranger of classical music, his works are mainly for string ensembles. With his talented skill of improvisation, he has played violin and piano in numerous casual performances.

As an experienced violin teacher, he has given instructions to individual students and also groups of students, he acted as former instructor of violin section in Taipei SanYu Elementary School, instructor of string ensemble in Fu-Jen University Orchestra (輔仁大學管弦樂社) etc. In addition, he is a musicologist, his studies concentrate on western music theory and history.

畢業於輔仁大學音樂系,主修小提琴,及臺北藝術大學音樂學研究所,主修音樂學。熱衷於古典音樂的推廣以及室內樂及琴藝的精進。海軍樂隊服役期間獲選參與敦睦艦隊,乘坐拉法葉遠赴所羅門群島及馬紹爾群島,於該國首相前小提琴獨奏。曾受James Buswell大師班指導,音樂學曾師從劉岠渭與曾瀚霈等老師。
